About Us
Little Bells Promiseland began in 2014 in Nepal as an answer to the needs of children that we saw suffering through no fault of their own. It's a Nepalese and Singaporean partnership to give children in this region a safe place to grow up.
Rural communities here often lack basic infrastructure, shelter, clean water, and access to education, and children without family support are especially vulnerable. Many of the children who come to us arrive from circumstances no child should have to face, whether that's loss, abandonment, or a caregiver who simply couldn't cope.
We provide a safe, loving home and education for these young ones to blossom and heal, a path out of the cycle of poverty and a chance for them to dream with support from local government and a governance team committed to doing this well as we grow.
OUR LOCATION
Little Bells Promiseland Children's Home is nestled in the Annapurna Conservation Area in Nepal, close to nature, surrounded by forest trails and panoramic mountain views, a calm and inspiring setting for children to thrive. Here, they learn local knowledge passed down by elders, from plants to mountain trails, growing into stewards of Mother Earth.
In the Himalayan foothills
GOVERNANCE
Our local leadership team in Nepal works closely with experienced professionals and an international advisory team, while maintaining active collaboration with regional government authorities to uphold high standards and accountability. The organisation is an approved institution by the Social Welfare Council of Nepal and under yearly audit.
Strong oversight, every step
OUR VALUES
Six values. One family.
Unity
01
We are one family. Every distinction of caste, religion, and background is set aside here; we listen before we judge and honour the uniqueness of every voice.
Love & kindness
02
We lead with love, and we believe that being loved well teaches a child how to love others; kindness is its daily practice.
Care for the earth
03
We live among the mountains and forests of Nepal, and we teach our children to see themselves as part of the natural world, not apart from it.
Culture & celebration
04
We celebrate the cultures and traditions each child brings, and mark every festival, religious and secular, as an occasion for joy and togetherness.
Empowerment
05
Children direct their own learning and community life here, running their own club and holding real responsibilities across the home.
Strength & hope
06
We nurture a belief in every child: I am capable, I am valuable, my future matters; we grow together through challenge and celebrate it along the way.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS
What the walls say
Around Little Bells, the children's own words cover the classroom walls: hope, belief, dreams, self-acceptance, compassion, and the power of choice.
